Greetings from the College Counseling office!  

It is our goal to help each student find a college or university that offers the type of academic, spiritual, and social atmosphere that will fit your needs within your family’s budget.  You should feel confident that there is a school (and maybe more than one) that exemplifies your perfect fit.  Finding this fit, however, does take time, effort, research, and resources – that’s where we can help!

The state of college admissions is always changing.  Each year produces a new set of applicants, a new list of credentials, and a small twist on “the ideal applicant.”  The College Counseling office at HLS can help guide and support you through this process, as well as provide answers to any questions you may have along the way.

Attention: Rising Juniors and Seniors!

Please schedule a summer College Planning Meeting with Ms. Bowen to discuss your college interests as well as your family’s needs, expectations, and goals.

The nature of this meeting is to discuss your personal college planning goals and to create a college process “plan of action” before your upcoming Junior or Senior year.  Please complete the student questionnaire prior to the meeting, as the information will be used to research college options and reach out to admissions counselors at schools you may already identify as a potential fit.
